Sports Massage aids the natural healing of structures in the body. Treatments often result in an increase in range of movement around a joint, reduced pain and improved posture. It is a source of relaxation and can help relieve stress. 

 

You do not have to play a sport to receive sports massage. It can be very beneficial to tight muscles as a result of overuse injuries in the workplace or general lifestyle pressures.

Each massage is tailored to each individual to help soothe and relax sore muscles, joints and minds. Types of massage include:

  • General and relaxation massage - a more superficial massage to help blood flow and realign muscle fibres

  • Deep tissue massage - techniques to penetrate to deeper layers of muscles and

  • Pre and post sports massages -warm muscles up and help the body to flush away toxins that were produced during exercise.
